Stratford District Councillor - Mark Cargill
I have lived in Alcester all of my life, am a time-served apprentice and have travelled the world in pursuit of my career. I was an officer in the Merchant Navy for 11 years and latterly spent over 25 years in the water industry, designing and building water and waste water treatment plants.
I am now retired which allows me to devote as much time and energy as needed to support the communities I represent.
I am currently an Alcester Town, Stratford District and County Councillor having served for over 7 years now.
I was Mayor of Alcester in 2013/14.
I was made Deputy Leader at Stratford District Council in May 2018.
I am a member of a number other committees both at Warwick, Stratford and Alcester including:
County: Regulatory (Vice chair), Audit & Standards, Adult Social Care
Stratford: Portfolio holder for Transformation, Infrastructure, Corporate Strategy
Alcester: Planning
I am married to Kathryn and have a daughter, Lyndsey.
