Dear Resident

Binton Community Support Group

As we find ourselves in an extended period of lock down, the community group wanted to keep in touch with you and you with us.

We had a telephone call last week from Carole a village resident whose daughter works at Ambleside Care Home, asking if we could show our appreciation of all the care staff working there by donating treats to them. The group gladly supported this. If you would also like to donate any canned drinks, soft drinks in bottles and cartons, individually wrapped sliced cake, chocolates/bar, sweets etc, and fruit such as oranges, bananas, it is important that the items are individually wrapped so staff do not have to physically share. The village hall will be open between Midday and 2.00pm on Thursday for the next three weeks – 23rd, 30th April and 7th May to leave donations. Any surplus Carole is arranging for it to go to Waterloo Care Home in Bidford and Cherry Trees in Alcester.

Warwickshire Trading Standards have issued a warning of rogue traders, so please be especially aware of scam telephone calls, emails and there may even be door to door callers.

The Community Support Group are on the Facebook page ‘Binton Life’. Binton Community WhatsApp Group on 07849 195905 – please do join. Covid 19 updates are on Binton Parish Council and Stratford District Council websites.  If you need any shopping, medication collections, dog walking please telephone Denise Day on 01789 751303.

Once again,

Keep exercising, keep social distancing and above all keep safe.

Kind regards

Binton Community Support Group
